They make the communication between humans and machines easier and simpler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can quickly have new insights and information on different fields of interests. But in order to improve the quality and the accuracy of responses we have to structure and phrase of the prompt appropriately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s important to remember that ChatGPT doesn\u2019t understand and doesn\u2019t think, it generates responses based on patterns it learned during training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The engine of ChatGPT is based on the concept of \u201c<em>token<\/em>\u201d. GPT (<em>Generative Pre-trained Transformer<\/em>) model generates the tokens predicting the most probable subsequent token using complex linear algebra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The model uses an iterative process. It generates one token at time and after generating each token, it revisits the entire sequence of generated tokes and processes them again to generate the next token.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7622bcf9eb3b85543e6d8a1a2f6027a4\"><strong>WHAT IS PROMPT ENGINEERING<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ecd6a5c3a1981e326af9f0b7f5b5ce81\"><em><strong>It is the art of creating precise and effective prompts to guide AI models like ChatGPT toward generating the most accurate, useful outputs.<\/strong><\/em> We have to bear in mind that <strong>Better Input<\/strong> means <strong>Better Output<\/strong> (BI-BO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The prompt engineering is very important for creating better AI-powered services and obtaining useful results from AI Tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you craft the prompt, it\u2019s important to bear in mind that ChatGPT has a token limit (generally <strong>2048 tokens<\/strong>), which include both the prompt and the generated response. You assign the role you need the model to play. A scientist, doctor, business man, chef and so on.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>WHEN<\/strong><strong>: you can put the character at any moment in time;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>WHERE<\/strong><strong>: you can put the character to a particular location or context.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>WHY<\/strong><strong>: you want to dialogue with the character for whatever reason, motivations or purpose you want;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>WHAT<\/strong><strong>: you want to dialogue with the character about what. That is the action you want the model to do.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>We just need to verify the level of reliability and credibility given to this type of interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Here is some practical examples.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Act as a character from a book:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong><em>I want you to act like <\/em>[character]<em> from <\/em>[book]<em>. You will apply your knowledge of scientific to propose useful strategies for saving the environment from pollution.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Act as a travel guide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong><em>I want you to act as a travel guide from Italy at the time of the Roman empire when Caesar was emperor.
